Snowdonia adventure for bibic

Update: we did it!!

For anyone who didn’t see the original story, we had planned to complete a skydive in aid of bibic, but due to weather and company closures, it was cancelled. Rather than leave it there (and with so many of you having already sponsored us), we pivoted.

This weekend, Nathan Hall, Andrew Jackson, Bradley Pearce and Rebecca Hulmston headed to North Wales instead.

Snowdon is officially ticked off, and we managed it in under 5 hours.

The weather was… less than ideal. Low-lying cloud, driving rain and what can only be described as storm-force winds. Not all waterproof coats are created equal, as it turns out. There were a couple of moments where we were quite literally blown sideways and clinging to the summit stone, so we didn’t get blown off the top of the mountain.

It definitely created a few memories. We’ve now got the desire to go back and do it again, but on a clear day, so we can actually see and enjoy the views.

And whilst we were in Snowdonia, we also took on the fastest zipline in the world – which was over far quicker than a mountain climb, but so much fun!

Most importantly, we’ve raised £3,689 (+ £673.33 in Gift Aid) for bibic, a charity that supports children and young people with neurological and developmental conditions. That was always the reason for doing it.

Thank you again to everyone who supported us. It really does mean a lot.

Enjoy the photos and videos!

Watch with the sound on to hear the full strength of the wind. (That was Becs bracing herself to stop herself from being blown off…!)

Watch them fly!! (These were two people who got to go before us – we were up next shortly after)
