My client is a hugely respected regional main contractor who built their reputation in the industry and the region by delivering to their client’s requirements and on their own promises time and time again. This £60m turnover business have gone from strength to strength in recent years, even when faced with the tricky times that Brexit and Covid have forced us all to face. They have cash in the bank, a very healthy order book and ahigh performing senior management team that has clients and employees needs at the forefront of the mind.
This company’s project portfolio spans across new build and refurbishment projects, including residential (spanning from mid-level right up to super prime), education, hospitality, and heritage from £1m up to £30m in value. They cover the entire Oxfordshire region, as well as surrounding areas but never reach too far away from their head office and area of expertise. Clients include the oxford colleges and universities where this company have an amazing history of delivering work, private estates where heritage work is undertaken, and high net worth individuals who employ this business to build them their dream homes.
My client plans to continue their steady, strategic, and planned growth into 2022 and have partnered with Cityscape Recruitment to help them to do just this. ABOUT THE ROLE
My client has a new opportunity for an Assistant Estimator to join their pre-construction team, based out of their Oxfordshire office with the option for working remotely 2 or 3 days a week. With a large number of tenders ongoing and continuous, growth planned for the business, the team needs additional resource from an up-and-coming Estimator who is keen to carve out a career within a strong employer in a regional market. The aim of this appointment is to allow the office be able to increase the output and accuracy of tenders, as well as gaining new clients in the process. The successful candidate will find themselves working across a mixture of tenders from one off jobs to large frameworks, from high spec residential to education and from new build to refurbishment, typically priced between £2m and £15m, with occasional projects up to circa £30m. This role will offer direct routes of progression and development within a growing team.
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
The specific salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry and experience on related roles and projects. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary around £30,000 – £45,000 which will also include various benefits relating to travel, healthcare & pension.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will be an Assistant Estimator with a couple of years’ experience gained within tier 1 or large Main Contractors. Career stability will be key in the selection process, as the clients are keen to land a colleague with only a small handful of previous employers. This candidates experience should cover tenders for new build and refurbishment works on projects ranging from £2m to £20m, at an assistant level.
