ABOUT THE ROLE

About the Role:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team in delivering projects efficiently and profitably. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their QS career who wants to build hands-on experience within a forward-thinking and fast-paced off-site construction environment.

You will assist in cost control, valuations, procurement, and contractual management while learning from experienced professionals and contributing to the successful delivery of modular pod projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documentation.

  • Support the procurement of materials and subcontractor services.

  • Help manage project costs, variations, and applications for payment.

  • Work with internal departments to align project design, delivery, and commercial goals.

  • Support project reporting, forecasting, and cost value reconciliation (CVR) processes.

  • Contribute to maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Good numeracy and analytical thinking.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.

Requirements:

  • Degree (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.

  • Some industry experience (placement or post-grad) in construction or manufacturing environments is desirable.

  • Keen interest in off-site construction or modular systems.

  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a commercial role.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic quantity surveying software.
