ABOUT THE ROLE

As Contracts Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of commercial and residential projects, managing schemes from pre-construction through to final handover. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to an exceptional standard.

This is a senior leadership role requiring clear communication, strong problem-solving skills, and a practical, hands-on mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple construction projects concurrently, ensuring high standards and consistent delivery

  • Plan and coordinate resources, programming, and logistics with senior management

  • Monitor progress, quality, and compliance with health & safety regulations

  • Build effective relationships with site staff, subcontractors, consultants, and clients

  • Carry out site inspections, risk assessments, and resolve any issues proactively

  • Manage budgets, site reporting, and cost controls in collaboration with commercial teams

  • Uphold professional standards and represent the company’s values throughout all phases of the projects

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Site Manager within commercial or residential construction
  • Excellent understanding of building methods, current regulations, and industry best practice

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate teams

  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills

  • A practical mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

  • Full UK driving licence

  • SMSTS and First Aid certificates preferred
