ABOUT THE ROLE
My client are currently looking for a Design Coordinator with experience of supporting the design team on high profile construction projects to join an exciting new project in Oxfordshire. The candidate will manage the design process in order to develop a design compliant with all contract requirements and in the most cost effective way. All information will be fully coordinated in order to deliver the project on time, within budget and to meet the client requirements.
This large, Design & Build contractor requires a Design Coordinator with a strong history of managing similar projects through delivery the delivery phase. The ideal candidate will have worked on projects which relate directly to this one. My client are keen to find someone with strong technical knowledge and will offer the opportunity to progress within the business during and after this project.
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
The salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary of between £55,000 – £62,000 and a generous benefits package. The company encourages promotion for candidates that are enthusiastic and competent. Employees will be promoted through the company at a rate that is comfortable for their abilities rather than within a set company structure. This encourages the strengths and successes of the company and each individual.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have a strong knowledge of the design process, at commercial design stage within a Main Contractor, and show a good all round technical knowledge. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage consultant’s scope and budgets. Proven experience of managing design within a similar environment is a must, with a working knowledge of the UK Building Regulations. The perfect candidate will have worked on projects directly relating to this one. They will have a working knowledge of single and 2 stage tendering, design, engineering or construction qualification.
