ABOUT THE ROLE
As a crucial member of our team, the Document Control Specialist ensures the precision and efficiency of our Document Numbering System. Responsibilities include validating and recording documents in our company database, managing incoming and outgoing technical files via external and internal FTP sites. Facilitating effective communication, you’ll prepare drawing submittal sheets, liaise with consultants and subcontractors, and oversee the sorting and filing of electronic and hard copy documentation. Maintaining up-to-date drawings is paramount, and you’ll diligently update trackers for company drawings and comments, providing guidance on document control procedures to project subcontractors for streamlined and effective document management.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal Document Controller will have prior experience in document management. Proficiency in using various FTP sites/servers (Aconex, Asite, Conject, 4Projects, Procore) and a solid understanding of the construction industry are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in the fit out and refurbishment industry, but my client is open to speaking to candidate from other sectors in the construction industry. The ideal candidate must possess excellent Microsoft Office skills, strong written and numerical abilities, and a diplomatic demeaner. A personable and professional attitude, along with efficient time management and prioritisation skills, are crucial for success in this role. The ability to handle pressure and manage conflicting demands is essential to ensure seamless document control operations.
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
My client is paying a salary of £25,000 – £35,000 depending on experience. They are willing to negotiate further benefits and rewards for the right candidate.
