ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is a privately owned fit-out and refurbishment company who have a turnover of £53M, they have been on the Interiors market for the past 11 years. They specialise in fit-out and refurbishment to a number of different sectors including Residential, Retail, Healthcare, travel and Hospitality. Some of the projects they have completed include a £400,000 refurbishment to Croydon College, £90,000 fit-out of a ‘chill out’ room in St Thomas Hospital and a fit-out of a nine storey office block in Holborn. Our client was ranked 7th in the top 10 fit-out contractors 2005-2010.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to the on-going development of the company our client has recently secured a number of projects in London and surrounding area and they require an experienced Document Controller to add to their new team. You will be based on various sites in London or in head office as required in SE1.

Your duties will include

  • Managing & administrating the document control system (BIW)
  • Uploading of the site drawings
  • Maintaining up to date drawing files & registers
  • Printing, photocopying, collating & issuing of drawings
  • Managing external distribution and recording release of documentation,
  • Managing, recording and distributing incoming documents,
  • Maintaining a central record of documents using codes and performing quality checks on all projects
  • General office and administration work
  • Supporting senior staff including the Managing Director

REQUIREMENTS

It is essential that you have experience in using BIW Document Control System; It is also essential that you have a working knowledge of using Outlook, Word & Excel packages. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and be able to work well on your own and be a team player.

REWARDS AND BENEFITS

The Salary will be dependent on your level and experience. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary between £35,000-£45,000.
