ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client has successfully secured a tender and is now seeking to add a skilled Quantity Surveyor to their well-established Commercial Team. The chosen candidate will have the exciting opportunity to oversee Commercial M&E Projects within zones 1 and 5 in London. This is a permanent position with ample room for career growth within the company, making it an ideal fit for ambitious individuals looking for long-term employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Cost Planning: Develop a comprehensive cost plan for the awarded project after receiving it from the Estimating Department.
  • Order Documentation Review: Thoroughly examine all order documentation before execution by company Directors.
  • Sub Contractor Order Documentation: Prepare and produce all necessary documentation for engaging with M&E sub-contractors.
  • Monthly Project Cost Reports: Ensure timely preparation and management of monthly cost reports for presentation during Directors meetings.
  • Procurement of M&E Sub-Contractors: Lead the process of procuring specialized Mechanical and Electrical sub-contractors.
  • Variations and Contract Updates: Collaborate with the Project Team to log, price, and submit contract variations and additions to the client.
  • Monthly Project Valuations: Generate monthly project valuations to assess progress and financial status.
  • Project Final Account: Prepare the final account for the project upon its completion.
  • Management of Sub-contractors: Oversee the work of M&E sub-contractors and conduct negotiations for their final accounts.

REQUIREMENTS

3 years experience working as a Quantity Survey within a rival M&E Contractor. Experience on Commercial project valuing £5 million +. Must hold a degree or equivalent qualification. Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

REWARDS AND BENEFITS

The salary will be determined based on individual qualifications and experience, ranging typically from £55,000 to £65,000 annually. Additionally, the company will cover reasonable travel expenses, and you will receive a comprehensive company benefits package.
