Senior FF&E Designer in London




I’m currently working with a central London-based Design studio. My client specialises in high-end marine interior design projects. They are looking for a Senior FF&E Designer to join their team.


As a Senior FF&E Designer, you’ll take on a pivotal role within projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. You’ll actively engage in project/client meetings to gather briefs for new projects and manage FF&E procurement efficiently. Guiding and mentoring Junior and Mid-weight FF&E Designers is essential, while also contributing to concept development and suggesting suitable finishes and fabrics in project meetings. You’ll oversee FF&E presentation production, maintain supplier relations, and stay updated on industry advancements. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients’ soft furnishing needs, you’ll attend meetings, deliver pitches, and foster strong client connections.


Operates at a Senior or Lead level within projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Regularly attends project/client meetings to receive briefs for new projects. Capable of effectively managing and delegating FF&E procurement as necessary. Demonstrates a commitment to mentoring and supporting Junior and Mid-weight FF&E Designers. Actively participates in project meetings, providing valuable input on concept development and suggesting suitable finishes and fabrics where relevant. Oversees the production of FF&E presentations and packs for client meetings, with the ability to delegate tasks as needed. Proactively nurtures relationships with suppliers and actively seeks new suppliers, staying up-to-date with advancements within the FF&E industry. Regularly attends client meetings to receive project briefs, deliver pitches when required, and serve as the main point of contact for clients’ soft furnishing requirements.



My client is prepared to negotiate the salary for the right candidate with a relevant amount of experience. Financial incentives include a group life assurance scheme, a pension scheme of 5%, and an annual travel card loan (after 1 year’s service). Paid approved overtime and payment awards for the introduction of new freelance or permanent staff. You will be eligible for 20 days of annual leave which will increase to 25 days after 5 years’ service. There is Christmas closure between Christmas and New Year (additional week’s holiday, free). Wellbeing incentives include eyecare, a cycle to work scheme, taxis home for late-night workers, dinner for late workers, lifestyle, health, and wellbeing support app, gym contributions – 50% contribution of £40 per person per month, weekly lunches, and a weekly fruit delivery. You will also be allowed time off to attend antenatal appointments, paid off for dealing with emergencies, and flexibility around working hours. Finally, you will be supported with training-approved courses, annual Christmas and summer parties, team nights out, and spring and autumn team-building events.
