The Senior Technical Designer will collaborate closely with key members of the design team to create exceptional architectural production drawings and accurate information for costing and construction purposes, spanning from project initiation to completion. This pivotal role entails taking full ownership of individual projects and delivering comprehensive information within specified timelines.

As part of your responsibilities, you will actively participate in site meetings to address any technical issues that may arise during different stages of the implementation process. We seek an individual who takes immense pride in producing precise information, ensuring that all drawings and documentation adhere to the current Area methodology.

If you possess outstanding attention to detail, can confidently take charge of individual projects, and possess expertise in generating detailed information, we eagerly await your application.


Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the commercial sector, preferably in a Design and Build (D&B) environment. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with the ability to produce comprehensive drawing packages and construction information. Strong knowledge of M&E coordination and understanding of design coordination and buildability reviews. Experience in undertaking detailed site surveys and conducting liaison with local authorities, including planning, and building control departments. Proven ability to attend site/project meetings and establish positive relationships with clients and contractors. Familiarity with document management processes, ensuring accurate and organized record-keeping. Membership with the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) is desired. Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of the cost implications associated with changes throughout the project. Sound knowledge of planning regulations and building control issues. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the building and maintenance of relationships both internally and externally.



My client is paying a salary of £55,000 – £65,000 with a generous package on top of this. Further details of what is included in the package will be discussed at interview stage.
