ABOUT THE ROLE
Over the last year, we have increased our activity in the North American market. And at the start of 2023, opened a Cityscape Recruitment office in New York. Due to the expansion of this exciting new region for us, we are recruiting for a consultant to join the North American team. The role will initially be based in Rickmansworth with a view to moving it out to the New York office after a probation period, subject to visa approvals.
This role has brilliant potential for the right candidate. Not only does it provide the opportunity for a consultant to be involved in the early stages of an exciting new region (with a move to the US), but the consultants currently managing the region bring a wealth of experience for the new consultant to learn from as well as many developing relationships on which to capitalise.
The successful consultant will be involved in candidate generation across our database, job boards, Linkedin, advertising, and referrals. You will also be involved in business development, strengthening existing client relationships, and building brand-new relationships. You will also be involved in meeting clients for beers or coffee, taking them out for lunch or having detailed meetings with them about long-term strategy.
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
The main benefit of this role is that it comes with the opportunity to move to the US (subject to visa approvals).
Whilst working in the UK, your basic salary will match the current market rate for an experienced recruitment consultant. It will also come with up to 25% commission with no upper threshold, a quarterly bonus, quarterly target-based office events and regular team socials. When the role moves across to the US, you can expect a substantial salary increase to around £60,000.
Also, due to how the US market works and the salaries that US professionals are paid, an individual deal can range between £20,000 and £55,000. With our commission structure of up to 25%, you should expect OTE of £180,000. Your potential earnings in this region are huge.
Successful applicants should be team players, hardworking, confident, motivated, hungry for success, and have great communication skills. The most important trait I am looking for is a determination to better themselves – someone who is looking to make a career for themselves, and, in particular, make a career for themselves in the US.
Concerning experience, applicants need a minimum of four years of experience working a 360 permanent recruitment role in Construction or Civil Engineering. Although not necessary, experience in the US market is desired.
