ABOUT THE COMPANY

My client offers a wide range of project packages, with project sizes spanning from £1,000 to £1m. Their typical order size currently averages around £250,000. They cater to various sectors, including Residential Housing and Apartments, Retirement Accommodation, Healthcare, Commercial, Education, and Industrial Warehouses. They have collaborated with major industry manufacturers to test and contribute to the development of newly launched products. Their focus on the plastering and Dry-lining sector has contributed to our position as a leading player in our region and has allowed them to naturally grow into other sectors such as Passive Fire Protection.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Efficiently coordinate, supervise, and manage installation operatives, collaborating closely with the Hepburn site-based management team where applicable.
  • Conduct thorough quality control assessments of completed works, ensuring compliance and accuracy before sign-off.
  • Develop and finalize sequenced programs of works in consultation with clients, providing regular progress updates to both clients and the Construction Director.
  • Address technical inquiries from clients, designers, and Hepburn site management teams.
  • Manage procurement processes, including ordering materials, access equipment, and plant through the company’s Buyer.
  • Specify compliant Passive Firestopping solutions, subject to approval by the Project Design Team.
  • Hold accreditation under BM Trada’s Q-Mark scheme, or display willingness to enroll in the program.
  • Oversee the comprehensive and compliant use of the company’s data recording software, OneTrace.
  • Coordinate and ensure successful BM Trada audits.
  • Support the company’s Estimator in tender pricing and assist the project Quantity Surveyor in invoicing completed works.
  • Assist in verifying labor invoices, whether on a Pricework or Daywork basis.
  • Contribute to identifying new contracts and business development opportunities.
  • Facilitate the procurement of competitive supplier material prices.
  • Foster positive working relationships with clients through effective liaison.
  • Attend various site-based meetings regularly.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in the passive fire industry is essential
  • Having previously worked in a Project Manager or Contract Manager role will help immensely.

REWARDS AND BENEFITS

  • Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.
  • Based primarily at our Eastbourne offices with frequent travel to live contracts and meetings. Occasional remote work considered with director approval.
  • Salary range: £45,000 to £65,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and capability.
  • Statutory holiday and bank holiday entitlement.
  • Company vehicle negotiable as part of overall package.
  • Private healthcare negotiable as part of overall package.
  • Immediate start available.
