ABOUT THE COMPANY

My client is one of the largest Housing providers in the UK with a 100 year heritage they have provided over 125,000 new homes and currently sit at around £800 million turnover per year. Having reviewed there current position in the market and set new clear objectives for the next 10 years, my client is now targeting the construction of 50,000 new homes, and with it become the UK’s largest house builder. Alongside the already well established Land team my client now have a dedicated in-house Technical, Commercial and Pre-construction team to further enhance product output and specification. One of the best employers to work for in their sector, the business is certainly in a very interesting position as it stands, with a clear growth plan in place. It is certainly a good time to get on board and become a part of a business that has 10 years’ worth of pipeline work.

With over 50 small site opportunities in its existing estates portfolio where it could develop in excess of 1000 new affordable homes. These sites provide an opportunity to deliver innovative design and delivery solutions in addition to creating affordable homes and improving their existing communities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting into the Director of Special Projects, the Project Manager will be responsible and accountable for overseeing Project Management, Design Management, Cost Planning, and integration of the same, and all design/technical consulting, build ability and other pre-construction services.

This is necessary to enable a development brief to be converted into a design brief and ultimately a design and de-risked solution that can be guaranteed and delivered by the preferred contractor within approved commercial assessment, budget, time, brief and planning requirements. Who we’re looking for We’re looking for a highly skilled and self-motivated individual with a strong background in residential led projects, in both City Centre and Greenfield/Brownfield delivery with a strong understanding of the value drivers of a residential business.

REQUIREMENTS

You must have experience of delivery of a programme of projects including low density housing, apartment and mixed use projects. You’ll have experience with a contractor, developer, house builder or consultant leading general project pre-construction activities or a significant part of it across a variety of procurement types. A sound working knowledge of development commercial appraisals is key.
