HVAC Service Technician – New York based in North America

My client serves a broad spectrum of customers, including commercial, industrial, and residential clients. Its client base encompasses various industries, such as manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, and construction. The company prides itself on offering customized solutions that are tailored to meet each client’s specific needs, with a keen focus on delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.


We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician who is interested in expanding their career into a Technical Service Support position. This position is based 5 days a week in the office on Long Island.


  • Coordinates with the Technician to communicate the action plan and services to be provided to the customer. Ensures work has been performed to the customer’s expectations and performs follow-up with the customer, as needed.
  • Read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints and have a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical control systems.
  • Possess knowledge of various piping system calculations, applications, and specifications such as: air and water pressure drop calculations, cold and hot water supply requirements, hot water storage, drainage fixture units, and storm water capacities
  • Create submittal packages with piping details and wiring diagrams for approval.
  • Interface with and confirm the accuracy of building automation, subcontractors, and drawings.
  • Assist field service technicians with equipment commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Interface with manufacturer’s representatives.
  • Provide peer-level support developing others in the area(s) of technical expertise.


Benefits & Rewards

My client is looking to pay between $120,000 – $135,000 + a full benefits package. The benefits package involves Medical, Dental, Vision insurance, and 401(k) retirement plans. On top of this, due to the reputation of the company, they can offer long-term stability.


  • Lead Service Technician with a desire to transition into an office environment. Project Manager with Technical service experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the following areas: Commissioning, Mechanical, Control Systems Installation, HVAC testing and balancing, Facilities Operations and or Maintenance, and Field, or Technical Support.
  • Working knowledge of control systems, unitary mechanical equipment, centralized condenser water, chiller, and boiler plants.
  • Full understanding of mechanical principles – piping & HVAC.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
