Project Manager – Fit-out in 




One of my standout clients is seeking a dynamic and flexible fit-out and refurbishment Project Manager to join their traditional fit-out business. Having gone from strength to strength, this company has seen significant growth. Specialising in traditional office CAT A & B Fit-out projects, my client operates across the UK completing high spec projects up to £12m.


As Project Manager you will be expected to be on Site five days a week. This role would suit a candidate happy to travel or stay away during the week (accommodation paid for by the client). In this role, you will supervise and oversee project delivery, ensuring compliance with client specifications and requirements. You will regularly review progress and coordinate with Pre-Contracts and Project Finance teams regarding change orders and site costs. You will update project plans and communicate them to all relevant parties.

You will liaise with clients, construction professionals, and other stakeholders as needed. Onsite, you will supervise construction workers, manage daily project activities, conduct site checks (including health and safety), and ensure adherence to brand guidelines. You will handle site inductions and oversee health and safety management and maintenance of project folders. You will review RAMS and COSHH assessments, manage subcontractors and trades, and keep live sites clean and tidy. You will maintain the site workbook/Procore, snag and rectify issues, arrange, and lead meetings, and book subcontractors to meet project timelines. You will review and provide feedback on drawings, update the programme of works weekly, and manage design programming. Additionally, you will instruct subcontractors and suppliers and issue small orders for necessary materials and equipment. Regular updates to the Line Manager on project progress and issues will also be required.


  • 5 years + experience of site working
  • Broad property, building or construction background
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Able to design and manage a programme of works (ASTA power project ideal)
  • Proven effective communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of CDM 2015 Regulations
  • Ability to read construction drawings
  • Ability to understand and manage/update the workbook throughout the job
  • Advance working knowledge of M&E systems
  • Experience of managing office relocations, refurbishments and fit-outs including IT infrastructure
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Good track record of being able to manage people across all levels
  • Client facing and driven to provide high standards of service
  • Good understanding of health and safety and risk management policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment
  • Confidence to meet with clients, subcontractors and building managers
  • Able and confident to manage a hectic and varied workload
  • Proven contracts and tendering experience
  • Good commercial acumen – legal knowledge and negotiating with multiple vendors
  • SMSTS trained
  • First aid trained
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Fire warden
  • Flexible approach to travelling and staying away from home on a regular basis
  • Flexible approach to opening up and closing up site
  • Full clean driving licence
  • NEBOSH Construction
  • Use of Procore or similar snagging software


  • Salary: £65k – £75k
  • Travel covered.
