ABOUT THE ROLE
My client requires a well experienced, all-rounder H&S Manager to join the team at a large, long term refurbishment project for a massive organisation and area in Silvertown. My client is looking for a project-based Health and Safety Manager to work alongside project team to manage and maintain H&S standards and procures across this project. This is a role aimed towards someone with onsite experience and a background in H&S in a new build or refurb environment with the ability to work as a sole H&S Manager without on-site support – someone who can be left to be autonomous and fully rely on. It will the responsibility of the successful individual to maintain and uphold safety standards to the company’s exceptionally high standards. They will receive some support from the visiting manager where needed and have the opportunity for work elsewhere I the business after this lengthy project.
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
The salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry and experience on related projects. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary around £65,000 – £75,000. The package will also include various benefits relating to pension and healthcare.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate must have the ability to implement maintain and uphold safety standards on large residential projects, and should have experience in the same or very similar role. They will have excellent communication skills to enable them to work closely with the different teams involved. Proven experience of managing H&S on large projects is a must, along with relevant qualifications and a personality to match a role of this scale. The perfect candidate will experience as a H&S Manager on projects in the range of £10m – £30m working for large or top tier main contractors.
