Established over 30 years ago and based out of their head office just North of London, in the south of Hertfordshire this £150+ million turnover business specialises in Concrete Frame Construction. They have a strong coverage of projects with package values ranging from £10 million up to £100 million each, covering primarily the residential and commercial sectors while also including several key sporting fixtures in their project portfolio.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This business rarely recruits due to their excellent staff retention, but due to growth we have been asked to find a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager who is capable of overseeing 1-2 large reinforced concrete frame packages in London. This is an exciting a rare opportunity to join such an excellent contractor.

This role will involve the usual surveying duties (i.e. taking projects from start to final account making sure budgets are maintained and profit levels are maximised while reporting any necessary changes) on reinforced concrete (RC) frame packages and associated groundworks.

This role will report to the company’s commercial director and will be responsible for managing additional junior staff also.

For this position we have been given a rough bracket of £80,000 to £110,000 per annum as the salary which will have an additional car allowance, standard benefits such as health care and the structured bonus scheme on top which is paid twice a year. For individuals looking for a self-employed payment method (limited company), we can also offer rates in the region of £350 to £450 per day plus benefits and bonuses.

REQUIREMENTS

The requirements for this role are fairly straight forward;

We can only consider individuals who have experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager for Concrete Frame subcontractors in the UK. Our client only wants to consider individuals from a rival company background.

Based on the location settings, this role would ideally suit someone based in or around London who can commute from a Hertfordshire office on a daily basis into and around London.

And due to the technical nature of this role, it is also crucial that all applicants are degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
